The Story of the Man and the Mountain

(see video below)

There was a mountain, tempting and taunting. A lifetime of wanting, postponing and 'some daying' it, finally led to a day of doing. They went on their way. They arrived at the base of the mountain encountering a person coming down and they asked them what their experience was and how was the trail going up? Which trail did you go on how is trail coming down and what was it like at the Summit. They shared their experience and afterwards our hiker thought...'that’s actually disappointing.' So they asked somebody else, and another person, and they asked another person, each person shared something a little bit different with their experience, but ultimately after talking with 30 different people, our hiker decided not to hike it. It was harder than they thought and maybe the view was not quite what they were expecting so they wanted it and they didn’t go.

There are two mistakes that we can make in our lives, one is not starting something and the other is not going all the way through. Let’s not be non-starters let’s not be people who don’t continue to the end because through that unknown and through maybe that fear. There is a gift at the end that you may not be able to understand, relying on other people is not your experience, it is theirs, each one will be different. Your experience could be very very different than other peoples'.
