A Farmer had to get to the market to deliver food. He was trying to get to the market and home before dark. He was pinched for time, consequently, there was a big rush to make it there as quickly as possible. He was rowing and rowing seemingly with no respite, when out of nowhere came another vessel down the river. It slammed into him, nearly tipping him over. He began screaming at the vessel “You idiot! You moron! How could you not be watching where you were going! He was full of rage and yelling in the middle of the river as he realized, there was no one in the vessel. Apparently, the vessel had broken free of its moorings and had drifted downstream. He interpretation of the situation was irrational and unreal.
When approaching life with a balanced mindset, one which allows us to be in a state of peace, we are able to maintain an equilibrium which places us in a position to be make healthy choices and more sound decisions.
